pathetic persistence 

do you ever keep trying at something? like over and over and over and over and over again? and no matter how many times you try you know that nothing will happen? like i know i should stop but sometimes i feel like the next time will be oka and everything will turn out to be favourable for me! but you know what? it doesnt? this is insanity at its finest. someone please slap me.
